Siquijor is a popular tourist island for both local and foreign travelers in Visayas. I made a day trip from Dumaguete in Oriental Negros Island. I took a fast ferry around 45 mins early in the morning from the port. Upon arrival, I looked for a private motorbike tour to 7 of the key attractions in a day trip. It cost 1000 peso.
The 1st stop was Paliton Beach, a private beach, flanked with coconut trees and a swing for a paid experience cum photography. It is picturesque beach, with dual colors of water. Entrance fee is 30 peso.
The next destination was Pitogo cliff. I particularly liked the palm trees planted on the way to the viewpoint. The deep blue serene seawater was calming to the mind. Entrance fee is 30 peso.
Balete tree with fish pond is indeed a giant tree, the same tree where Buddha found his enlightening. Entrance fee is 20 peso.
Hapitanan is a small cafe where one can transformed into a witch with a riding magic broom, a recreation of a Harry spotter movie scene. The picture taking fee is through donation.
Next, we came to Lazi town. It has an impressive church called Lazi church and an intricate convent building. This is the only free place to visit in Siquijor.
Salagdoong beach is one of the most crowded beaches, as it is the place where one can cliff dive into the water. Many beach bumbers sunbathe at the cove.

The final destination was Cambugahay Waterfalls. It is one of the most crowded places. However, the waterfalls are beautiful with 3 main layers of turquoise water. Swinging and jumping onto the water is one the key paid activity.

Overall, Siquijor is a beautiful. However, I find it too commercialized, as almost every attraction requires an entrance fee and it is one of the crowded places I have ever visited in Philippines.
