Kamikochi is a beautiful valley in a quiet mountainous area in Nagano prefecture. It is part of Chubu Sangaku National Park.
We started our photography cum relaxing walk from Taisho Pond from the south to the popular Kappa Bridge in the north part along Azusa River.

It was indeed a cooling and shady walk with views of surrounding Japan Alps along the way. It was indeed a meditational walk while enjoying the scenic lush trees along the trail.
The previous day, we took a half day tour to the Unesco world heritage village, Shirakawago, famous for thier traditiomal gassho-zukuri farmhouses, which some are mora the 250 years old.
