Mini awesome hikes in NZ

When I visited NZ, I took the opportunity to make few short hikes that I could find any hill nearby.

The 1st short hike was a steep short hike up to the viewpoint at Lindis Pass, overlooking the surrounding majestic mountains and highway below. The hike started from an open carpark. It was along the journey from Lake Takepo to Te Anau.

Could you see the carpark below?

The 2nd hike was Key Summit hike on Routeburn Track in Fiordland National Park, on the way back from the famous Milford Sound to Te Anau. It was a 2 hour trek to the summit. The trek was quite rocky with gradual incline. It was raining at the beginning of the trek in the afternoon, but upon reaching the top, I could see a beautiful rainbow across.

The 3d hike was short climb at the Castle Hill.  It was the one of the most beautiful hikes with wild rock formations on top. The big limestone boulders form a panoramic landscape to savour.

There were 2 more hills I climbed but that would be in another post...
